Forbes Honors Salesforce co-CEO Marc Benioff on its America’s Most Innovative Leaders List

Forbes has named our co-CEO Marc Benioff as #4 on its America’s Most Innovative Leaders list, up from #6 last year.

For Forbes’ ranking methodology, business school professors Jeff Dyer and Nathan Furr teamed up with consultant Curtis Lefrandt to measure four essential leadership qualities of top founders and CEOs: media reputation for innovation, social connections, track record for value creation and investor expectations for value creation.

Technology company founders and leaders claimed all of the top five spots on Forbes’ list, including Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos, Tesla Founder Elon Musk, Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg and Netflix Co-Founder Reed Hastings.

Marc Benioff’s new book, Trailblazer: The Power of Business as the Greatest Platform for Change, will debut on October 15. “Trailblazer is an urgent and compelling book for anyone in business who yearns to fulfill a higher mission in the world,” said Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, author and philanthropist.
