BET (Black Entertainment Television) and United Way Worldwide have created a COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide emergency support to address the disproportionate impact this pandemic is having on the Black Community. Last week, Salesforce was proud to sponsor the BET “Saving Ourselves” live relief special to raise awareness around this alarming issue and use our platform to encourage donations to the cause.
The company made a $500,000 donation to United Way, which will be disbursed to local charities that provide food and emergency assistance to families who have been severely affected. The event and fund so far has raised over 16MM to support African American communities. View the commercial here.
