Editors Note: Salesforce completed its acquisition of Convergence on June 11, 2025. Salesforce is excited to welcome the Convergence team to the family.
Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Convergence.ai, an AI agent company recognized for developing advanced systems that perform complex, human-like tasks in digital environments. Convergence’s technology enables AI agents to navigate dynamic interfaces, managing everything from web-based workflows to multi-step processes by adapting in real time to challenges like pop-ups, errors, and UI updates.
Following the acquisition, Convergence’s team and technology are expected to play a central role in advancing Agentforce, a key pillar of Salesforce’s AI strategy. With deep expertise in AI agent design, autonomous task execution, and adaptive systems, Convergence’s team will strengthen Salesforce’s AI capabilities and accelerate the development of next-generation agents built for increasingly sophisticated workflows.
“The next wave of customer interaction and employee productivity will be driven by highly capable AI agents that can navigate the complexities of today’s digital work,” said Adam Evans, EVP & GM, Salesforce AI Platform, Salesforce. “Convergence’s innovative approach to building adaptive, intelligent agents is incredibly impressive. We are thrilled to welcome their talented team to Salesforce, and we look forward to their contributions in helping Agentforce deliver AI that truly transforms how work gets done.”

Convergence’s talent is expected to play a key role in advancing Salesforce’s broader AI roadmap, powering innovation across deep research, task automation, and industry-specific solutions. This will enable Salesforce customers to deploy more adaptive, capable AI agents that boost productivity and reduce manual work.
“We’re looking toward a future where Agentforce can empower our customers with AI agents that don’t just follow instructions, but truly perceive, reason, and adapt to the complexities of modern digital workflows. Imagine AI assistants that can intuitively navigate ever-changing interfaces and intelligently manage intricate tasks with a new level of resilience and human-like ingenuity – that’s the kind of step-change we’re eager to explore,” added Evans.
“The future of business automation isn’t limited to single, scripted tasks – it lies in end-to-end, decision-driven workflows where multiple agents collaborate and hand off seamlessly,” said Marvin Purtorab, CEO and Co-founder, Convergence. “Our mission at Convergence is to help organizations stop viewing automation as just another tool and instead adopt it as the very way work gets done — unlocking new levels of innovation and efficiency. Joining Salesforce is the ideal step to scale that vision.”
“Welcoming Convergence’s exceptional team to Salesforce marks an exciting step forward in deepening our commitment to the UK’s dynamic AI ecosystem,” said Jayesh Govindarajan, EVP AI/ML Engineering, Salesforce. “London is a global leader in AI innovation, and this acquisition will lay the foundation for a growing center of AI R&D here — one where Convergence will form the nucleus of a world-class AI lab that expands over time. With the city’s concentration of pioneering scientists and engineers, we are confident this investment will accelerate our AI strategy and bring the next wave of innovation to life.”
Salesforce looks forward to welcoming the Convergence team once the acquisition closes, which is expected in the second quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
