Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Spindle AI, a leading agentic analytics platform. Spindle AI’s technology combines advanced AI agents and machine learning with powerful data modeling to help businesses make faster and more effective data-driven decisions.
Co-founded by Ryan Atallah, previously the founder of ClearGraph (acquired by Tableau) and Carson Kahn, previously the founder and CTO of Volley ML (JPMorgan In–Residence), Spindle AI has deep expertise in multi-agent systems, machine learning, and high-performance data applications. Spindle AI’s agentic technology complements world-class analytics platforms, like Tableau, by focusing on the next step: using AI to autonomously model agentic scenarios and forecast business outcomes.
“The future of the agentic enterprise isn’t about having the most data, it’s about making that data speak a common language,” said Adam Evans, EVP & GM, Salesforce AI Platform, Salesforce. “Bringing Spindle AI – which includes veteran leaders and incredibly talented engineers with deep expertise in advanced agentic analytics and machine learning – onboard will continue our investment in Agent Observability and Self-Improvement to help us deliver custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization for every Agentforce user.”
Enterprises and their agents are generating more data than ever, but its value remains locked behind technical complexity, making it difficult for teams to get reliable answers to critical business questions. While AI agents promise to bridge this gap, delivering the required accuracy, context, flexibility, sophistication, and security, and context at enterprise scale demands advanced agentic systems and machine learning capable of autonomously analyzing data, modeling scenarios, and discovering optimal answers.
Spindle AI was built to solve this challenge by combining neuro-symbolic AI agents with AI-native data systems to generate & optimize scenario models in seconds. Their agentic business analytics platform allows business teams to simulate the impact of complex, data-driven decisions, like pricing and packaging, GTM optimization, and sales mix shifts with AI.
“We built Spindle AI to intelligently close the gap between what questions enterprises want to ask of their data and what their data systems can understand,” said Ryan Atallah, co-founder and CEO, Spindle AI. “We have spent years solving the hardest problems in intelligent analytics, machine learning, and data infrastructure. Joining Agentforce allows us to deliver that deep technical focus directly to customers at scale, powering the next era of trusted, autonomous systems by accelerating Agent Observability and Self-Improvement features for Agentforce 360.”
“We aren’t just acquiring a platform; we’re bringing on world-class expertise,” said Jayesh Govindarajan, EVP Salesforce AI, Agentforce. “Ryan, Carson, and Spindle AI have proven expertise in the complex AI observability and multi-agent analytics functions that are critical for measuring and forecasting AI-driven value. We’re thrilled to have them join Agentforce to accelerate our roadmap and build the future of agentic systems.”
“The next generation of agentic systems will be measured by how well they can continuously monitor, explain, and improve their own reasoning,” said Carson Kahn, co-founder and Chief AI & Product Officer at Spindle AI. “We look forward to accelerating Agentforce with sophisticated agentic analytics and forecasting that make enterprise LLMs more reliable and valuable.”
After the acquisition closes, Spindle AI will join Agentforce to focus on augmenting the Agent Observability and Self-Improvement pillar for Agentforce 360, including custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization.
The acquisition is expected to close in Salesforce’s fourth fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
