Salesforce.com Announces 2nd Annual Appy Award Winners at Dreamforce
Appy Awards honor salesforce.com customers, developers and partners who are leading the
Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service revolution

19, 2007 - Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the technology and market leader in
on-demand business services today announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Appy Awards at a special
award ceremony held at Dreamforce '07, the salesforce.com User and Developer Conference. Appy Award
winners represent the salesforce.com customers, partners and developers who've taken salesforce.com
and the on-demand industry to new levels of development, customization and application excellence.
The 16 Appy Award categories recognize achievements in innovation leveraging both
Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.

customers, 50,000 developers and thousands of partners," said salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc
Benioff.
On September 18, Benioff and salesforce.com President Jim Steele presented awards to each
winner in the 16 separate categories to a capacity crowd at San Francisco's Moscone Center.
The 16 categories are: Dreamforce Best in Show, Best Force.com Native App by Customer and
Partner, Breakthrough App of the Year, Best Apex Developer, Outstanding Customer Innovation Award,
Best Non-Profit Deployment Award, Best Industry Deployment, Best Global Enterprise Deployment, Best
Force.com Integration, Best AppExchange Adopter, Chief Innovation Officer Award, Salesforce Sales
Excellence Award, Salesforce PRM Excellence Award, Salesforce Customer Service Excellence Award and
Salesforce Marketing Excellence Award. Winners were chosen by an internal panel of experts based on
a combination of usage metrics, technology innovation and business success related to their use of
Salesforce applications and the Force.com platform. In addition, over 50 AppExchange partners were
nominated for the Dreamforce Best in Show award and the winner was voted on by the attendees of
Dreamforce and users of Salesforce IdeaExchange.
