Salesforce Completes 2025 IRAP Assessment for Agentforce and Salesforce Platform

Salesforce Completes 2025 IRAP Assessment for Agentforce and Einstein Platform

Salesforce has successfully completed an Independent Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for Agentforce and the Salesforce Platform. Both the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce underwent a comprehensive IRAP assessment against PROTECTED-level controls to assess their integrity and security requirements.

Administered by the Australian Cyber Security Centre, IRAP assessments are required for cloud services procured by Australian federal, state, and local government agencies. The assessment helps verify that these services have the appropriate security and integrity controls in place for handling government data.

Why it’s important: Government agencies recognise that safe and secure data utilisation can enhance customer experiences while at the same time empower employees, boost productivity, and increase efficiency. With data security a top priority, there’s a growing need for the public sector to securely activate and share data to make it actionable. Citizens are happy to support such an approach, with 91% of people across Australia and New Zealand saying they would be willing to share certain data if it delivers a benefit.

Unified data systems, like Data Cloud, provide teams with access to real-time insights, making faster, smarter decisions that improve service outcomes. AI-powered tools like Agentforce are also reshaping the possibilities. As the agentic layer of the Salesforce Platform, Agentforce supports public servants to work alongside autonomous AI agents, helping to automate routine tasks, offer intelligent recommendations, and take action when appropriate.

This collaboration of humans with AI will help Australia’s public sector amplify its efficiency and service delivery.

Driving the news: IRAP assessments are required for all cloud services utilised by Australian government agencies.  Salesforce had recently completed an IRAP assessment for Tableau on Hyperforce earlier this year, as well as MuleSoft and Marketing Cloud in 2024.

This latest IRAP assessment now brings  Agentforce as part of the Salesforce Platform to continue its position as a trusted government solution. This ensures Salesforce continues to support Australia’s public sector with a complete AI platform that augments government teams with autonomous AI agents in the flow of work.

This assessment paves the way for Australia’s public servants to work alongside AI agents, with Agentforce providing a trusted platform that can enable faster, more personalised services that empower our public sector to work more efficiently and effectively.

The Salesforce perspective: “It’s no longer about whether governments should embrace data and AI – it’s about how to do so responsibly, effectively, and at scale. This assessment paves the way for Australia’s public servants to work alongside AI agents, with Agentforce providing a trusted platform that can enable faster, more personalised services that empower our public sector to work more efficiently and effectively.” – Glenn Rozet, SVP Public Sector ANZ at Salesforce
