Fundamentals in Full Force: Building India’s Workforce of the Future

Trailblazer

How Salesforce’s global learning program is empowering Trailblazers with competencies, community, and confidence in the era of Agentic AI

Salesforce’s journey has always been defined by relentless innovation, from pioneering software on the internet in 1999, to the latest in agentic AI. Underlying that journey is a core belief that knowledge shared openly has the power to inspire and equip organisations everywhere to shape the workforce of tomorrow.

That belief comes to life through Salesforce Fundamentals, a global webinar series designed to be an accessible on-ramp to the digital economy. Last week, Salesforce India hosted one such webinar, bringing Trailblazers together for the newest addition to the Fundamentals catalogue.

The webinar, For the Community, by the Community, was inspired by conversations at TDX India. Built in collaboration with Trailblazer Community Conference organisers, the session shed light on future-of-work topics such as AI skills and celebrated how Trailhead and community events are transforming careers.

With close to 1,300 attendees, the strong turnout highlights both the demand for accessible skilling opportunities and the strength of the Trailblazer Community in India.

This was the ninth Fundamentals session delivered globally – and second scheduled in IST time – designed to turn curiosity into capability and inspiration into impact. Each 45–90 minute session introduces learners to Salesforce products and career paths, while encouraging hands-on learning through Trailhead, the company’s free online learning platform.

For many, Trailhead can feel daunting. Fundamentals makes it approachable with guided exercises, practical demonstrations, and curated resources to continue the journey.

Fundamentals in India: Growing momentum

Salesforce’s approach to skilling is rooted in the belief that workforce development and community form one powerful ecosystem.

This ecosystem is about people learning, growing, and lifting each other up as they prepare to thrive in the era of Agentic AI.

Florian Michel, Senior Director, Global Workforce Development program

As Florian Michel, Senior Director, Global Workforce Development program, explains: “Through Salesforce Fundamentals, Trailhead, and the Trailblazer Community, accessible pathways are being created for learners everywhere to gain future-ready skills. This ecosystem is about people learning, growing, and lifting each other up as they prepare to thrive in the era of Agentic AI.”

That vision is being brought to life by Salesforce’s Global Workforce Development team with the support of Trailblazer Community members. As a Trailblazer community member describes it, “Leading a Fundamentals session is not just about teaching Salesforce skills. It is about preparing Trailblazers for the digital labour economy, sharing experiences, and showing what is possible when the community learns and grows together.”

The impact of this collaboration is magnified by India’s thriving network of Salesforce community conferences. Over the year, nine gatherings — Architect Summit, Bengaluru Dreamin’, Bharat Dreamin’, Delhi Dreamin’, Hyderabad Trailblazin’, India Dreamin’, MC², One Dreamin’, and Women in Tech Dreamin’ — partner with Salesforce to drive a shared agenda of skills and opportunity. Together they bring thousands of Trailblazers to connect, learn and collaborate, showing the power of community in action.

India has emerged as one of the most engaged regions for Fundamentals. With one of the world’s fastest-growing Trailblazer Communities, it’s increasingly well placed to shape the digital-first economy. Fundamentals is helping learners in India to turn curiosity into career opportunity, building confidence in Salesforce skills and opening doors to the jobs of tomorrow.

As Sanket Atal, Managing Director, Salesforce India and South Asia, puts it: “Fundamentals has shown once again that it’s more than a learning programme, it’s the start of a lifelong journey. Seeing registrations pour in and so many Trailblazers come together has been truly exciting. This isn’t about a quick boost, it’s about building a movement where people pay it forward through mentorship, support, and innovation. Trailhead is the launchpad, and the Trailblazer Community makes sure every learner feels confident to grow and ready to thrive in the era of agentic AI.”

Preparing for the agentic AI era

Salesforce Fundamentals is only one part of a much larger transformation that is reshaping how people prepare for the future of work. At the heart of this shift is Agentforce, Salesforce’s proactive, autonomous AI application designed to equip workforces everywhere to unlock a limitless digital labour force by leveraging autonomous AI agents that support their employees and customers 24/7.

Inside the company, the approach to learning is continuous. Employees are regularly introduced to new technologies and releases, and growth is reinforced not just through structured training, but also through peer and manager reviews. Even curating a presentation has become a learning opportunity, with Sales Coach (powered by Agentforce) providing real-time feedback to sharpen skills and raise the bar.

Beyond the walls of Salesforce, Trailhead extends that same spirit of continuous learning to anyone, anywhere. The ambition is bold: to empower one million Agentblazers with the skills to fundamentally reshape how businesses operate in an AI-driven economy.

New learning pathways such as Agentblazer Statuses and the Agentforce Specialist certification are designed to ensure that every learner, whether just starting out or already on their career path, can find the right tools to thrive.

The ambition to create one million Agentblazers is not simply a target on a chart. It is a statement of intent: to put AI skills within reach of many more people, to prepare a workforce for the realities of the new agentic future, and to establish Agentforce as a cornerstone of the agentic enterprise. The conclusion is difficult to ignore. Learning does not end, and the momentum behind this movement shows little sign of slowing.
