MuleSoft Appoints Software Industry Veteran Uri Sarid as Chief Technology Officer
<p>Expansion of Leadership Team Supports Accelerating Global Demand for Anypoint Platform</p><br />
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – April 18, 2013 – MuleSoft, provider of the world”s most widely used integration platform to connect the New Enterprise, today announced the appointment of software industry veteran, Uri Sarid, as chief technology officer. Sarid will focus on MuleSoft’s technical vision and technology strategy across its products and will report directly to CEO Greg Schott. MuleSoft founder Ross Mason will now be dedicated full time to the company”s long-term product strategy and evolution as newly named vice president of product strategy; he will also continue to evangelize the flagship AnypointTMPlatform, built on the popular open source Mule project he created in 2003.
Sarid brings extensive experience as a software entrepreneur and executive to MuleSoft. Most recently, he served as the vice president of the NOOK Cloud for Barnes & Noble, where he led the team that architected, led and released the digital content and user platform for NOOK. Previously, as vice president of engineering at eMeter Corporation, he led the technical team to deliver industry-leading software and solutions for the Smart Grid. Before eMeter, Sarid was CTO and vice president of engineering at Aptana, where he delivered pioneering products for JavaScript developers, including the Studio development environment; Jaxer, the first Ajax server; and the Aptana Cloud platform. Sarid’s strategic leadership expertise, coupled with his proven experience in building high-caliber engineering teams and technology architectures, will enable MuleSoft to amplify its technology strategy for connecting the New Enterprise and accelerate its explosive growth.
