MuleSoft Accelerates Government IT Modernization and Digital Transformation

Washington D.C. – July 20, 2016 – MuleSoft, provider of the leading platform for building application networks, today announced it is investing in its vertical solutions roadmap, expanding its team of experts and partner ecosystem to address major challenges in the global public sector. MuleSoft has built dedicated public sector teams across the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA, including a new federal sales office in Washington, D.C. to support the company’s growth into the U.S. federal government. For leading enterprises across the private and public sectors, digital is becoming a core competency. However, government agency IT teams are asked to do more than ever while contending with shrinking budgets. An application network is a network of applications, data and devices connected with APIs to make them pluggable and to create reusable services. APIs allow for any digital asset to be quickly discovered and easily reused by consumers on the application network, increasing developer productivity to power innovation within government.

Global Team of Industry Experts and Procurement Frameworks Investment to Drive Innovation

MuleSoft has invested in dedicated public sector teams across the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA, including a new federal sales office in Washington, D.C. to support the company’s expansion into the U.S. federal government. The D.C. office is led by regional vice president, Chris Aherne, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the federal sector at Adobe and BMC Software. Tim Marsh has joined the team as director of federal SI alliances and channels, bringing more than 15 years of experience from Acquia, EMC and Salesforce. To meet government agencies’ high standard for security and compliance, Kevin Paige has joined MuleSoft as head of information security and compliance, after more than 15 years delivering security solutions for both the private and public sectors including the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, Salesforce and CACI International.

MuleSoft has reinforced its commitment to the public sector by streamlining government purchasing through its involvement in global procurement frameworks, with intent to enroll in the G-Cloud 8 Framework in the United Kingdom and to pursue a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule in the United States. Anypoint Platform can also be purchased by Australian government organizations through Government Information Technology Contracting (GITC) and Procure IT.
