Salesforce Deepens Commitment to Switzerland with $1 Billion Investment to Accelerate Agentic AI Transformation

Announcement made by Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff ahead of the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva
GENEVA, July 7, 2026 — Salesforce, the world’s #1 Agentic CRM, today announced plans to invest $1 billion in Switzerland over the next five years to accelerate the country’s agentic AI transformation. The investment builds on Salesforce’s longstanding commitment to Switzerland — one of Europe’s most important centers of technology, finance, and innovation — by supporting its local workforce, its growing base of customers and partners, and Switzerland’s workplace and AI skills development.
The announcement was made by Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff during his visit to Switzerland ahead of the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. During the Summit, Benioff will co-chair the first meeting of the AI for Good Global Commission (July 8) alongside Rwandan President Paul Kagame and ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin. The Commission brings together more than 40 heads of state, industry CEOs, and leaders of international organizations to advance practical pathways for responsible AI development and equitable access worldwide.
Switzerland plays a leading role in shaping AI governance. It is home to the ITU, the World Economic Forum, and dozens of international organizations, and in 2027 will host the Global AI Summit (after France in 2025 and India in 2026).

A Longstanding Commitment to Switzerland
Salesforce opened its first Switzerland office in 2004, making it one of the company’s first European presences. Today, Salesforce operates offices in Zurich and Lausanne, has served more than 1000 customers across the country, and works with over 100 partners to drive digital transformation in every sector of the Swiss economy.
