Commitment to Ireland is reaffirmed a quarter-century since opening

Salesforce announces $1 million grant to Raspberry Pi

Leading Irish businesses including CurrencyFair are deploying Agentforce,Salesforce’s digital labour platform, for significant productivity gains

Since opening in Dublin in 2000 as the first international Salesforce location outside of the US, Salesforce has built a proud history in Ireland, investing more than $1 billion in talent, infrastructure, and innovation.

A quarter-century on, we celebrate that moment by reaffirming our long standing commitment to trust, innovation, customer success, equality, and sustainability.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD said: “Ireland has a strong reputation as a global technology leader, driving innovation and supporting communities. Salesforce was an early trailblazer in this journey and has played an important role in establishing Ireland’s position on the global stage. The company has shown an enduring commitment to Ireland through continued investment in growth, innovation, and the wider community, and we are excited to see that commitment continue.”

A quarter-century of growth

Salesforce Ireland has grown to drive key operations for Salesforce across EMEA. Our team in Dublin serves as a respected hub for talent and a driver of global best practices for the company.

Every new hire across EMEA begins their journey in Dublin, where they are welcomed, onboarded, and trained. The Ireland Hub is not only where future leaders are developed but also where Salesforce knowledge and culture are strengthened and amplified globally.

Salesforce Tower Dublin, which we opened two years ago in Silicon Docks, is home to more than 2,500 employees from over 30 nationalities. It is one of the most sustainable buildings in Ireland, designed to meet the needs of the future workforce with a focus on collaboration, sustainability, and employee wellbeing.

I am most proud that Ireland has established itself as the gateway to a successful career at Salesforce.

Giving back to Irish communities

Giving back has been central to the Salesforce mission throughout our 25 years in Ireland. To date, we have contributed more than $8.2 million and 300,000+ volunteer hours to support Irish communities.

Salesforce has backed education, apprenticeship, and digital inclusion organisations, including with NCI, Trinity Access, Fast Track to IT, Camara Education, Educate Together and others.

To mark this milestone, Salesforce is pleased to announce a $1 million grant in support to Raspberry Pi to implement a free, integrated computer science curriculum in Ireland.

As technology innovation accelerates, we recognise that the next generation will depend on digital skills, and AI literacy to succeed.

Over the next two years, this grant will empower 2,000 Irish teachers with the skills and confidence to teach computing to over 40,000 students in socio-economic disadvantaged schools across Ireland between the ages of eight and 14.

Supporting Irish business

The success of our customers has been the force that has guided our generations of teams. We have always been proud to support Irish businesses of all sizes to succeed by building richer connections with their customers.

Today, we are helping Irish businesses to reach their potential through Agentforce, Salesforce’s digital labour platform, in the agentic AI era. The beating heart of the Dublin Tower has become the Salesforce ESMB team dedicated to helping small and medium businesses from Ireland across EMEA to innovate and grow.

CurrencyFair is leveraging trusted AI and digital solutions to grow, innovate, build, and stay ahead in their industries. By deploying Agentforce, CurrencyFair is augmenting its human customer service team, by autonomously and quickly resolving common customer queries 24/7.

Looking ahead

As we mark this significant milestone, we’re excited about the future opportunities that lie ahead for Irish businesses. The convergence of technological innovation and Ireland’s talented workforce creates a unique environment for growth and success.

With the rise of agentic AI, which experts predict to be a $6 trillion digital labour market opportunity, Salesforce is poised to help Irish businesses embrace the next wave of technology.

Our commitment to Ireland is clear: to remain a driver of innovation, a hub for talent, and a dedicated partner to communities for the next 25 years and beyond.
