Salesforce Announces Trailblazer Awards

The first Trailblazer Award for Equality will recognize Dwyane Wade

Today, Salesforce announced the inaugural Trailblazer Awards, which celebrate the people and companies that use their platform for change.

Driving the news:

  • The first Trailblazer Award for Equality will recognize NBA champion, entrepreneur and philanthropist Dwyane Wade for his contributions to advancing racial equity, support of LGBTQ+ rights, and his commitment to greater inclusion of young people of color in industries where they are underrepresented.
  • Salesforce will present the Trailblazer Award for Equality on June 9 at Connections 2022.
  • Wade will join Salesforce’s Chief Equality Officer Lori Castillo Martinez at Connections for “A Conversation with Dwyane Wade,” discussing his drive to build more inclusive communities.

The Salesforce perspective: “The Trailblazer Awards represent the innovative spirit of businesses and people using their platforms to help make a difference in the world,” said Sarah Franklin, President and Chief Marketing Officer, Salesforce. “We are thrilled to spotlight these remarkable leaders who exemplify our core values, helping build a more fair, equitable and sustainable future.”

What’s next: Salesforce believes that business is the greatest platform for change. Following the Trailblazer Award for Equality, Salesforce will continue recognizing Trailblazers who are dedicated to making the world a better place and celebrate the people and companies that use their platform for change.
