SAN FRANCISCO - Salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference - September
17, 2007 - CODA Group [CODA: AIM], the global finance systems specialist, and salesforce.com
[NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced a
strategic alliance that will see CODA develop the first on-demand financial system built natively
on salesforce.com's Force.com on-demand platform. CODA's new service, CODA 2go, will offer
companies of all sizes a real-time, global finance system on demand. The alliance was announced
today at Dreamforce '07, salesforce.com's User and Developer Conference in San Francisco.
"CODA's on-demand financial system showcases the power of the Force.com platform for building
and delivering any kind of application on-demand," said George Hu, Chief Marketing Officer,
salesforce.com. "We share a common vision with CODA to enable customers to manage and share all of
their business information entirely on-demand."
"Software as a Service is a logical extension of CODA's 'open platform' commitment.
Delivering CODA 2go on salesforce.com's Force.com platform will allow CODA to offer our product
portfolio to a far wider range of businesses," said Jeremy Roche, CEO of CODA. "CODA 2go is a
powerful unified ledger accounting system that addresses the needs of organizations from tens of
employees to tens of thousands. Good financial control matters to big and small organizations
alike, and we believe CODA 2go will bring to finance what Salesforce has to CRM - delivering
enterprise strength capabilities to the whole market on demand."
CODA's long established strategy is to provide solutions for CFOs and their finance teams in
organisations of all sizes, to meet the business challenges of their finance function, what ever
they may be.
The first release of CODA 2go is expected for delivery during early 2008, and will address
revenue management, including creating and managing sales orders, generating invoices, posting cash
and cash management. The service will then be quickly expanded to cover procurement and the full
range of financial management activities.
CODA also unveiled an integration application, CODA Integrator for salesforce.com, to allow
users of salesforce.com's Force.com platform and CRM applications to interact with CODA's current
enterprise accounting system, Financials, creating an integrated front-to-back office application.
