Salesforce's comprehensive security protocols help keep your certifications secure.

Safeguarding the value and security of your hard-earned Salesforce credentials is important. We work every day to make sure all your hard work is protected.

Let’s partner to keep Salesforce certifications safe. Find out why it’s important to maintain the value of your hard-earned Salesforce certifications on Trailhead Academy and how you can help.

The work that goes into maintaining the validity and integrity of over fifty Salesforce certifications is ongoing and comprehensive. But we do the work because it’s crucial to preserving the value of the certifications you work so hard for.

Why should you do your part to protect Salesforce certifications? Let’s find out and then dive into 3 ways you can keep Salesforce certifications safe.

Why Certification Integrity Matters

When you earn a Salesforce certification through genuine study and demonstrated skill, that achievement does more than just boost your own career—it acts as a positive force for the entire Salesforce ecosystem.

  • For You: A certification earned with integrity means your accomplishment is a true reflection of your expertise. When an employer sees “Salesforce Certified,” they know it signifies a demonstrable, validated skill set worthy of association with expertise in a given Salesforce cloud product. Your certification is your trusted professional currency.
  • For the Salesforce Ecosystem: If certifications become widely achievable through compromised means (like exam dumps or proxy services), the entire program suffers from “certification inflation.” When integrity is maintained, the certification remains a reliable signal of quality that employers, customers, and partners can trust implicitly. This trust drives investment in the platform and creates more opportunities for all certified professionals.

Every time a certification is earned fairly, it reinforces the credibility of the entire certified community:

  • Customer Confidence: Customers hiring certified individuals have confidence that they are receiving high-quality guidance from knowledgeable professionals. This leads to successful projects and greater adoption of Salesforce, ultimately growing the market.
  • Employer Investment: Companies are more willing to invest in Salesforce talent, training, and certification programs when they see a clear, measurable return on investment—that is, when a certificate genuinely correlates with skill and performance.
  • Community Integrity: By committing to fair certification practices, you uphold the collaborative and honest spirit of the Trailblazer Community, ensuring it remains a trusted source of knowledge and professional networking.

1. Protect Exam Content

The most effective and ethical way to prepare for your certification is by using the official resources provided by Salesforce:

  • Trailhead: This is the only official platform for learning Salesforce. Utilize the Trails, modules, and Trailmixes specifically aligned with your desired certification.
  • Certification Exam Guides: Every certification exam has a dedicated detail page on Trailhead Academy. These pages provide each Salesforce certification’s official exam guide, which outlines the exact weighted sections, objectives, and recommended study resources. Rely exclusively on these guides to direct your preparation. Using unofficial dumps not only violates our Code of Conduct but also guarantees you’re studying outdated or incorrect material, leading to a revoked exam and devaluing your efforts.
  • Developer Org and Trailhead Playgrounds: Access hands-on practice scenarios by signing up for a Developer Org or creating a Trailhead Playground.
  • Trailblazer Community: Join an existing study group in the Trailblazer Community, or form your own. Also, this is a great place to find a mentor to help you grow in your field.
  • Section-level feedback: After completing your exam and receiving your results, carefully read the section-level feedback for a better understanding of your unique strengths and any potential areas of improvement.

2. Report Exam Violations

If you encounter any website, social media group, or individual offering or selling Salesforce exam content (often referred to as “exam dumps”), immediately report it.

Do not engage with, purchase from, or share this content. You can submit a confidential report by opening a case on Salesforce Help. Your report allows us to quickly issue takedown notices and invalidate compromised material.

See something? Say something.

If you see something suspicious, submit a case. If we confirm a security violation has taken place, we’ll take action right away.

When you report exam violations, you become a partner in helping us:

  • Remove compromising posts: If any posts shared in the Trailblazer Community or Partner Community compromises the integrity and validity of a Salesforce certification exam, we investigate and if necessary send a warning notice to the author and delete the post .
  • Post official takedown notices: For platforms we don’t control, we send legal “takedown notices” to the hosting site and content author of any compromising content shared on non-Salesforce platforms.
  • Update any compromised exam content: We replace any compromised certification exam questions.
  • Detect score invalidations: We use data forensics to detect patterns or anomalies that are statistically improbable in exams.
  • Take permanent actions for offenders: For severe violations we can take actions including removing the ability to take online exams, revoking any certifications awarded, and permanently banning violators from the program.

3. Uphold Exam Integrity

Upholding exam integrity means adopting the Salesforce Credentialing and Certification Program Agreement and Code of Conduct. This code of conduct is an official agreement that all Salesforce certification candidates must sign off on before taking their exams.

When registering for and before launching an exam, all participants in the Salesforce Certification program Agree that they will not:

  1. Distribute, use, or request exam dumps. Not only can these contain inaccurate and outdated information, but users having access to exam material before they take an exam devalues the certification for everyone.
  2. Share your Trailhead profile or Pearson login details with anyone for any reason. This includes providing login details in exchange for free certification exams or exam help. Doing so can lead to compromised Trailhead profiles, which results in punitive actions by Salesforce and an extended inability to verify earned certifications.
  3. Disclose any exam questions and/or exam answers.
  4. Use any devices or get any outside help during your exam.
  5. Provide false or misleading information to Salesforce.
  6. Launch an exam with any malicious code, viruses, worms, or other programs that could be used to avoid security mechanisms
  7. Sell or share voucher and coupon codes or use them for an unapproved purpose.

All reported security violations are taken very seriously and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

There are potential long-term consequences for any Program Agreement violations, including suspension from online proctored exams, suspension from all certification exams, revocation of certifications, and being removed from the Salesforce certification program and the Trailblazer Community entirely.
