My Background

I've spent 30 years building enterprise software products, with the last 11+ years at Salesforce. I've worked at everything from industry giants to tiny startups, and I've consistently sought out product engineering roles that combine hands-on development with direct customer engagement. I'm passionate about sharing knowledge to guide customers toward success and channeling their insights back into product innovation.

My Expertise

I've spent most of my career building and architecting back-end systems—the kind that need to run at high scale and play well with complex enterprise IT infrastructure. At Salesforce, I was an architect for the microservices infrastructure that powers hundreds of Salesforce Platform microservices in production. Working from that perspective, I know many internal details on how the platform is stitched together. I recently moved to the Office of Chief Architect, where I'm now focused on customer success. I am able to use all that product and infrastructure expertise to help customers leverage the platform for their specific needs.

When I'm Not Writing ...

Living in Colorado means my backyard is a mountain wonderland. I enjoy all that it offers, including hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking. My happy place is to be out on the water of a mountain lake in my kayak in the morning with my phone in silent mode. We all need to disconnect sometimes, and for me that is how it is done best. I am also passionate about science education for our next generation. I am an organizer for the Colorado State Science Fair and I love to interact with and help inspire our amazing students.
