author title Principal Design Strategist, Emerging Technology
My Background

Andrea is a designer and strategist with nearly 20 years of experience shaping how people create, collaborate, and navigate complexity. Before Salesforce, she worked in Research and Development Innovation Strategy at Samsung Research America, on Herman Miller’s Future of Work team, at Yves Béhar’s fuseproject, and at Stanford’s d.school, where she taught a range of courses, and co-authored Navigating Ambiguity and the Intersectional Design Cards. Her journey to design started in architecture and metalsmithing—the roots of her passion for craft and creating exceptional experiences.

My Expertise

Andrea specializes in human-centered design, innovation, and making sense of messy, ambiguous problems. Her work spans product design, emerging technology, and storytelling—including global talks on design, ambiguity, and the empowerment of women and girls. At Salesforce, she focuses on AI and the future of work, helping teams navigate new paradigms and translate big, complex ideas into clear, strategic direction.

When I'm Not Writing ...

If she's not home, she's at a concert or Broadway show, playing pickleball in Golden Gate Park, or hiking somewhere with no service. At home, she makes crafty projects or watches RuPaul’s Drag Race. She's a proud member of the Beyhive.
