Avrom Roy-Faderman
author title Software Engineering ArchitectI’ve spent over 27 years in the tech industry and over 15 at Salesforce, currently serving as a Software Engineering Architect. My path wasn’t traditional; I’ve been a consultant, a technical writer, and even a Philosophy professor. I’m best known as the inventor and lead developer of Custom Metadata Types, a feature born from a desire to better enable collaboration between Salesforce Admins and pro-code Developers.
As an architect on the Platform team, I specialize in the infrastructure driving deployments and ALM. I focus on the programmatic movement of metadata and the mechanics of scale, ensuring that the foundational systems responsible for moving configuration remain resilient in complex, enterprise-level environments.
I’m likely singing or taking an improv class. I talk philosophy with my wife, listen to my son’s musical compositions (he’s a composition major at NYU), or discuss his latest constructed languages. I’m also a fan of tabletop RPGs. I’m always looking forward to connecting with the ecosystem and community.
