Scott Ratliff
author title Principal Architect Evangelist, Salesforce Architect Evangelism TeamI started my first role as an architect in 2002, initially concentrating on building e-commerce systems, but my professional focus shifted to integration architecture in 2012, which led me to join MuleSoft in 2018. Over my first three years at MuleSoft and within Salesforce Professional Services, I dedicated my efforts to ensuring customer success with MuleSoft solutions. Following that, I spent four years in practice enablement, expanding my expertise to include Salesforce, Slack, and Agentforce. I excel at architecting efficient systems, often by incorporating new technologies and AI. This deep and diverse experience now serves as the foundation for my role as a Principal Architect.
My diverse architectural experience forms a solid foundation for my work. This work has cultivated a well-rounded and deeply technical perspective. My most recent experience has given me hands-on knowledge of cutting-edge enterprise technologies, becoming proficient in varied Salesforce technologies. I thrive on solving complex problems, architecting efficient systems, and deeply understanding new technologies. This broad, deep expertise empowers me to write relevant, insightful, and passion-driven content that truly matters to the architect community.
When I'm not at work, you'll find me outdoors. My wife and I enjoy playing golf or tackling a hiking trail in a national park—we've hit 28 since my first trip to Yosemite in '98! As an artistic outlet, I am learning to play bass guitar to blow off steam, and true to my “tinkering nature” I also enjoy the culinary arts. My current obsession is dialing in the perfect homemade bread and pulling a fantastic espresso shot.
