At Salesforce, interns don’t just learn; they take ownership, innovate, and make things happen. Every year, our Futureforce interns roll up their sleeves and dive deep into meaningful, high-impact work. This year was no exception. From product design to AI automation, from backend scalability to user experience, our 2025 intern cohort worked across teams and technologies to build tools, solve problems, and drive innovation. These aren’t just side projects. They’re contributions improve performance, reduce inefficiencies, and shape how Salesforce runs.
Here’s a look at some of the projects our tech interns in India worked on this summer — and the real business impact they created.
Intern Spotlights: Innovation in Action
Garvit Khurana – AMTS Intern, Mulesoft Interpreted Connectivity
Garvit tackled a time-consuming challenge: building Flow Connectors for SaaS integrations. Using the Universal Connectivity Builder tool and integrating AI with Cursor, he created a semi-automated process to generate API specifications and build connectors faster.

Impact: Reduced API specification generation time by over 90%, bringing it down from 1–2 days to under 2 hours. This work significantly speeds up the connector development process and is being considered as a future feature in internal tooling. Faster connector delivery helps customers adopt Salesforce Flow more easily, so they can automate and integrate their business processes more quickly.
Mohak MahajanMohak Mahajan – Product Design Intern, UX Foundations
As part of the Website Experience Subsystem (WES) library, Mohak designed the Toast component — a reusable UI component that provides real-time feedback to users across Salesforce platforms like AppExchange, Trailhead, and Salesforce.com.

Impact: Delivered a standardized, accessible feedback mechanism used by 252+ product teams and 25+ websites, reducing UX inconsistencies and streamlining implementation across the Salesforce ecosystem.
Vidhi Singla – Intern, Unified Intelligence Platform
Working on an AIOps initiative called the Trino Agent, Vidhi built an intelligent assistant to automate incident investigations. Built using Salesforce’s Warden framework and powered by LLMs, the agent provides engineers with real-time insights during system alerts.

Impact: Significantly reduced investigation time for critical production alerts by automating the data-gathering and root-cause analysis process.
Rishab Sonthalia – AMTS Intern, Service Mesh (MAS Team)
Rishab developed the Rate Limit Quota Service (RLQS) — a smarter system for managing how cloud applications handle incoming traffic. Traditional systems often slow things down or struggle to stay coordinated. Rishab built a solution that combines fast, local decision-making with global awareness — like traffic lights that respond instantly but still stay in sync citywide.

Impact: The system achieved up to 15x faster response times, reduced network load, and allowed updates with zero downtime. It improves the way Salesforce handles traffic in the cloud, making services more secure, scalable, and efficient.
K Shrikaran – UX Design Intern, IT Service Management
K Shrikaran worked on integrating Microsoft Teams with Salesforce’s IT Service Management (ITSM) system, exploring how AI and Agentforce could enhance the user experience. From competitive research to user interviews and MVP design, he led the end-to-end UX process to envision a seamless, unified workflow for IT incident resolution.

Impact: His proposed concepts have been taken up for development and now form the groundwork for an upcoming release. The solution aims to help employees and IT agents resolve issues faster, all within Microsoft Teams, without needing to switch between tools.
Outcomes That Matter
These projects aren’t classroom exercises. They’re scalable, production-level solutions that save time, improve efficiency, and elevate the experience for users, customers, and engineers alike. Whether building a system from scratch or improving core performance, these interns made their mark and helped push our technology forward.

Looking Ahead
This is what Futureforce is all about: giving emerging talent the tools, mentorship, and trust to solve real problems. And this is just the beginning — for both the interns and the impact they’ll go on to create.
