Richard Eyram, Area Vice President, Canada
Richard Eyram joined Salesforce in 2006 to lead our Canadian enterprise business. Richard is based in Toronto, and is accountable for the growth and expansion across the country in the enterprise market.
Richard joined Salesforce after completing a two-year sabbatical, sailing from Toronto throughout the Caribbean with his wife and two children. Prior to this journey, he held various positions with Pivotal Corporation, including Vice President & General Manager, Vertical Markets for North America. Rich Joined Pivotal via an acquisition, selling his consulting firm, inFORM, to Pivotal in 2001. Rich began his professional career with Accenture, focusing on business transformation and the emerging field of technology-enabled sales & CRM market.
Rich received his BComm from the University of Toronto.
Zaid Maiter, VP, Commercial Business, Western Canada, Salesforce
Zaid is the VP of Commercial Sales for Western Canada, covering BC and Alberta, and is responsible for driving growth and customer success across the region. Originally starting with Salesforce in Toronto in 2011, Zaid managed the DC area delivering high growth in the traditionally cloud apprehensive Public Sector market. Since 2014 Zaid has been based in his original home in Vancouver to build out the local Salesforce presence and community.
Zaid started his career implementing ERP solutions with Avanti Systems. He grew within that organization through several roles including Solution Engineering, Senior Account Executive and Sales Manager prior to joining Salesforce in 2011. Zaid has a Bachelor in Technology with a minor in Marketing from Ryerson University.
Chris Makkreel, Director of Solutions Engineering
Chris Makkreel leads the Canadian engineering team at salesforce.com, responsible for advancing the company’s cloud computing strategy, customer success, and growing the customer base in regards to technology. As the leader in enterprise cloud computing with a proven track record of social and mobile innovation, salesforce.com is empowering companies to connect with their customers, partners, employees and products in entirely new ways.Through a combination of Domestic and International assignments, Chris has gained valuable insight into the cloud computing architecture frameworks that are now driving our industry. Chris has a deep understanding of Salesforce.com's real-time, multitenant architecture, the company's platform and apps that gives customers the tools to create a social front office and revolutionize the way they sell, service, market, collaborate, work and innovate.
Chris joined salesforce.com in March 2005 from IBM, where he served in a variety of roles focused on delivering IT solutions for enterprise computing. Chris graduated from the University of Western Ontario and Nipissing University with Bachelor Degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration.
Tony Olvet is Group Vice President of the research domains team at IDC Canada. He is responsible for managing the services and research direction of the technology market analysts in Canada. Mr. Olvet is also a member of IDC Canada's Senior Leadership Team.
The analyst team that Mr. Olvet manages helps technology vendors, IT professionals, and business executives make fact-based decisions on technology marketing, deployment and strategy. He has researched and presented on a variety of industry topics including mobility, cloud computing, and top executive technology priorities.
Mr. Olvet has worked with clients across a variety of organizations including global IT manufacturers, Canadian telecom service providers, technology startups, financial institutions and public sector organizations. He is quoted in major print and web publications including The Globe and Mail, The Montreal Gazette, The National Post, CBC.ca, Network World and Computer World.
Prior to leading the research domains group, Mr. Olvet was VP, communications practice; Senior Consultant; and Director of the Canadian partnering research program at IDC. Mr. Olvet earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo and a Master's degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in economic geography.
