Celebrating 4 Years as a Best Workplace in Europe

Great Workplaces Start with Great People: Celebrating 4 Years as a Best Workplace in Europe

Salesforce has once again ranked as a best workplace in Europe: the fourth time that we have received recognition as a top employer here.

Today, Salesforce is celebrating being ranked as one of the Best Workplaces in Europe for the fourth time!

I am honoured to share the news that Salesforce has once again ranked as the best workplace in Europe. This is the fourth time in a row that we have received recognition as a top employer in Europe. It is a huge source of pride for all of our hardworking teams. Today, a sincere and special thanks goes out to them for their continued dedication and commitment — not only in Europe but also around the world. Great workplaces undoubtedly start with great people, and at Salesforce, we’re lucky to have an abundance of them! I’m constantly in awe at the fantastic talent of our team.

Looking back over the last strange and testing few months, it’s inspiring how our people have embraced the transformative shift in working practices with ease. This has given us all an opportunity to create an even better workplace that is more connected and productive, allowing for sustained innovation, workplace relationships, and talent development. It has been so great to see that time and time again, our values — Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, and Equality — drive these changes.

For example, together, we’re designing an even better workplace for the work-from-anywhere world. We want to build a workspace where everyone — regardless of location — can feel supported and connected. It’s what we call “Success From Anywhere”. It equips our customers, employees, and stakeholders to connect, work, sell, market, and service from anywhere. But it’s about more than that — it’s also about how we inspire team spirit, employee engagement, and wellbeing.

Success from Anywhere is just one of the many transparent and human-centred strategies we’ve employed to maintain our great workplace status. Here are a few additional efforts that make Salesforce a great place to work for all of us in Europe and around the world.

A focus on well-being

It’s no secret that the health and safety of our employees is our number one priority. Happy, healthy employees are engaged employees. And, as we continue to navigate the pandemic and complexities of the past year — including blurred professional and personal lives — a focus on employee wellbeing has never been more important.

It’s simple: to continue to succeed and push the barriers of innovation, we need to take care of our employees. So we have made significant changes in our programs and policies, including the addition of “Wellbeing Days” which are coordinated days that everyone takes off together. These days don’t count toward regular PTO or sick time and give our people the opportunity to switch off, relax, and unwind while doing their favourite well-being activity.

Giving back to our communities

At Salesforce, we believe we can unlock individual and collective impact by supporting our employees to strengthen the communities they care about. Eligible employees have 56 hours of VTO per fiscal year. Many of our employees are drawn to our company because we are values-driven, believe the business of business is to improve the state of the world, and are global leaders in civic and community action.

Last year, we passed the 5-million-hours-volunteered mark, which is an unbelievable milestone. 12,000 individual Salesforce employees across Europe combined their time, talent, and resources to support their chosen causes and organisations.

Driving greater equality

Last year we faced not only the global pandemic and the intersecting economic crisis, but in many countries, we also had a reckoning with long-standing racial inequalities. Equality is one of our core values. It’s something we’ve always prioritised in our efforts to create a workplace that reflects the diverse communities where we live and work. We want to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and empowered to succeed.

To move these efforts forward with urgency and care, last year we established our Racial Equality and Justice Task Force. We brought employees from every part of the business and of every age, race, gender, and level of experience together to develop a plan of action. Together, we’re working to drive racial equality in our workplace through new representation goals and programs focused on our Black, Indigenous, and Latinx communities. We are also working to close economic opportunity gaps through our supply chain and investments.
