Logitech Becomes 100th Company to Deliver Solution for salesforce.com Summer '04

Sforce community now has 3,000 developers and 100 sforce solution partners integrating with salesforce.com

NEW YORK- July 21, 2004 - Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the market and technology leader in customer relationship management (CRM) on-demand, today announced that Logitech (SWX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI), manufacturer of the Logitech® io™ Digital Pen, is the 100th company to join the salesforce.com sforce solution community. Now available to salesforce.com's customers, sforce partner solutions extend the value of salesforce.com's on-demand services with unique and valuable offerings that help companies meet their varied CRM requirements. Sforce solutions include third-party-developed analytics, collaboration, configuration, accounting/ERP, contact center/CTI, data quality, email marketing, integration, mobile/wireless, project management and social networking products, as well as sforce development tools. The solutions are available from providers partially listed at http://www.salesforce.com/solutions.

Just over one year after sforce was launched in June 2003, Logitech joins 99 other sforce community members, including IBM (NYSE: IBM), BEA (NASDAQ: BEAS), Borland (NASDAQ: BORL) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), and 3,000 sforce developers. This sforce ecosystem expands customer choice through a wide range of new solutions, including mobile applications, vertical applications, voice automation and other sales productivity tools. Together, this community has established sforce as one of the world's most widely used enterprise Web services, making it the standard by which on-demand platforms are judged.

"Sforce provides a great opportunity for Logitech to help salesforce.com customers get more value from their CRM systems by integrating them with our digital writing tools," said Chris Bull, general manager of digital writing at Logitech. "And since the on-demand model means salesforce.com's customers are always running the latest version of the service, integration becomes simpler and faster than developing partner solutions for packaged software."

Using the sforce Web services API, Logitech will integrate the io Digital Pen with salesforce.com to create new mobility solutions. Mobile professionals can seamlessly transform handwritten notes into salesforce.com customer data, spending more time with their customers and less time re-keying information. These digital writing applications will be created in conjunction with leading salesforce.com integrators. A prototype application, customized by salesforce.com service partner Bluewolf Group, will be among 15 sforce partner solutions demonstrated today at a salesforce.com event in New York City. "The Logitech io pen is a cutting edge tool, and when integrated using sforce it will be part of many powerful CRM solutions," said Peter Gassner, general manager and senior vice president for sforce. "With the on-demand model, integration projects that took months now take days, making sforce the first choice for CRM integration. A little more than a year after our launch, we are seeing huge momentum for sforce, with 100 ISV's and 3,000 developers actively building solutions on our on-demand platform. In the end, customers are the real winners, with more options and solutions than ever before."

The sforce partner solutions are now listed in the new sforce Solution Showcase available at http://www.salesforce.com/solutions. The first-ever catalog of solutions certified to work with an on-demand application, the sforce Solution Showcase allows visitors to browse through the list of in-market sforce solutions, complete with product details, buyer feedback and customer reviews.
