Salesforce.com/Foundation Program Director Awarded Fellowship For Using IT to Improve Society

Steve Wright is one of 16 community service leaders tapped by the Community Technology Foundation of California for its prestigious ZeroDivide Fellowship

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — November 9, 2004 — Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), and the salesforce.com/foundation, the leader in integrating philanthropy and business, today announced that salesforce.com/foundation Program Director Steve Wright has been selected by The Community Technology Foundation of California (CTFC) to join Class II of the ZeroDivide Fellowship. Wright is one of 16 leaders from across the state of California to receive this three-year fellowship, which increases the capacity of leaders in California to promote social justice through the use of information and communications technology, including digital media.

Wright has worked with the salesforce.com/foundation since September 2000. Established in 1999, the salesforce.com/foundation harnesses the enthusiasm and energy of the salesforce.com community to make a positive difference in people's lives through service and technology-related projects for youth. The Foundation provides technology resources, programs, and mentoring to underserved youth through more than 60 technology centers in 12 countries, and supports a wide variety of global initiatives designed to empower youth to express their unique voice on current affairs and issues of relevance to their immediate community. The Foundation also manages outlets for employee volunteerism and leadership, and has teamed with salesforce.com to provide salesforce.com's award-winning CRM service, as well as training, administration and support services, at no cost, to non-profit and non-governmental organizations worldwide.
