Jobscience Runs Entire Business on Salesforce.com's AppExchange

47 custom tabs and numerous applications from AppExchange directory enable company to develop a unique solution tailored to its specific operational needs

SAN FRANCISCO — June 27, 2006 — Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced that Jobscience, a leading developer of staffing solutions for the healthcare industry, is using salesforce.com's AppExchange platform to run its entire business from human resources and product management to marketing. Jobscience has used the AppExchange to build 11 custom applications and 47 customized tabs, in addition to deploying 20 applications from the AppExchange directory to improve and manage all aspects of its operations, including product development, marketing, sales, service and support, account management and financial operations.

Jobscience is one of the 22,700 companies of all sizes, industries and geographies that comprised the salesforce.com customer base as of April 30, 2006. Revenue will be recognized as the service is delivered.

"As a company, we recognized the tremendous value and cost-savings we could achieve by leveraging the wide range of business applications available on the AppExchange directory," said Mark Desrosiers, vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Jobscience. "With some quick and easy work on our end, we were able to customize these applications to meet all of the unique needs of our healthcare software and solutions company."

Jobscience used the AppExchange platform to build custom applications to optimize marketing, sales, service and support operations, including:

  • Sales and Collection— provides detailed information collection and management across accounts, contacts, opportunities, products, quotes and contracts
  • Implementation — enables the professional services team to manage projects from start to finish; allows easy submission of feature requests
  • Service & Support Communications — enables customers and employees to manage support and services cases across multiple communication channels
  • Account Consulting — provides account plan information so the company can easily manage customer contracts
  • Marketing Communications — allows simple entry of marketing requests, which can be tracked to completion; provides automatic results reporting and detailed marketing planning
  • Product Management— allows company management to collect and manage future product feature requests and enhancements
  • Quality Assurance — enables QA professionals to manage all phases of software testing
  • Events — provides a single environment to manage internal company and external marketing conferences, tradeshows and speaking events
  • Human Resources — used by the entire company for expense reports, purchase requisitions and requesting vacation time
  • Executive Action — automates the review and approval of budgets, purchase requisitions and marketing expense requests
  • Finance — allows all employees to effortlessly submit expense reports, purchase requests, and personal time off
"In addition to the ability to run our entire business on Salesforce, we've been so impressed with the reporting capabilities that we've recently moved to 100% departmental reporting through Salesforce dashboards," added Desrosiers. "It has reduced the reporting burden across the organization and our CEO loves it. Overall, across all critical business functions in our company we are realizing significant process improvements. Salesforce enables us to think about how we are managing our business and provides an environment to implement immediate process changes which would have taken months."
