Salesforce.com Unveils On-Demand Marketplace With More Than 60 Sforce-Based Solutions

Interactive showcase connects companies to a comprehensive catalog of user-reviewed on-demand solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — November 2, 2004 — Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that it has launched its On-Demand Marketplace, featuring a broad range of proven on-demand solutions powered by sforce, salesforce.com's on-demand platform.

Announced at Dreamforce 2004, salesforce.com's second annual user and developer conference, the On-Demand Marketplace provides online access to a comprehensive catalog of on-demand solutions built by more than 60 product and service vendors. Marketplace highlights include:

  • An interactive ratings systems, with built-in user reviews that help customers locate the on-demand solution that best suits their needs;
  • Featured Solutions, which showcase screenshots of select on-demand solutions;
  • Sforce Certified designation, indicating that the solution has passed a series of rigorous certification tests in the sforce labs, and is live with at least three customer references; and
  • A wide range of solution categories to address business requirements including data warehousing, contact center, email marketing, ERP, integration, social networking and more.

The sforce platform makes it easy for customers, consultants and developers to create on-demand applications as well as extend the power of Salesforce.com and Supportforce. Today, the sforce community includes more than 3000 developers, 750 enterprises and 100 ISV partners that are using sforce to customize, integrate and extend salesforce.com in order to create custom CRM solutions. The sforce community provides a comprehensive network of expert resources to address a wide range of business process and technology matters related to CRM.
