Salesforce development is transforming for the agentic era. Discover the new developer tools shifting the vibe.

TDX 2026 unveiled the latest round of new innovation, reshaping Salesforce development. We’re unpacking the top announcements and what it means for your stack.

TDX 2026 has officially wrapped, but for Trailblazers, the real work of deploying the next generation of innovation has just begun.

The week kicked off with the Main Keynote, unveiling the latest and greatest developer tools and enhancements. Attendees then dug deeper into the latest technical announcements through hundreds of sessions, hands-on workshops, and onsite activities.

If you weren’t able to join us in San Francisco, or just feeling the post-TDX blues, we’ve got you covered. Here is our breakdown of the biggest announcements and game-changing tech coming out of the conference.

1. Salesforce Headless 360

Like humans, agents need the same things to work: data, workflows, and an enterprise-grade security guardrails. Recognizing this, we set out to rebuild Salesforce for an agentic world to ensure your AI is ready to deliver value from day one.

And now, two and a half years later, we are excited to introduce Salesforce Headless 360. Every capability Salesforce has built over 25 years is now available via API, MCP, or CLI. This enables your agents and developers to build and execute on any surface. This extends across the full breadth of what Salesforce has built, from the processes that resolve customer support cases to the workflows that help sales teams close deals. Both humans and and agents can work together seamlessly.

Programmable by humans. Callable by agents. Trusted by both.

2. Agentforce Experience Layer

Build once, deploy everywhere.

The evolution of the Agentforce Experience Layer will become your single source of logic and business intent for your agents and apps.

The Agentforce Experience Layer separates what an agent does from how it appears, so your agents can deliver rich interactive components like flight status cards, rebooking workflows, decision tiles, and data layouts. They render natively inside Slack, and across Mobile, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Teams, or any client that supports MCP apps.

The Agentforce Experience Layer serves as your unified development engine, translating governed logic into a consistent premium experience for every user, on every channel.

3. Salesforce Multi-framework

Framework or platform? Now you can have both.

Historically, Salesforce developers sacrificed platform native features if they used open-source libraries. With Salesforce Multi-framework, developers can build native Salesforce apps starting with React — with Salesforce’s enterprise-grade authentication, security, and governance built in. This is not about replacing Lightning Web Components (LWC). Multi-framework is a unified execution engine that empowers your developers to choose the “right tool for the job,” allowing them to build new experiences with React or continue building high-performance, native LWC applications side-by-side

In tandem, developers using Agentforce Vibes (more on this below) can generate Multi-framework React apps. Simply describe the component you need to build, and Agentforce Vibes will produce the React code, GraphQL queries, and Salesforce metadata.

React is supported today, and even more frameworks are coming like Angular and Vue. Want to start building? Multi-framework is now open in beta, available in scratch orgs and sandboxes.

4. New innovations in Agentforce Vibes

Last Dreamforce, we unveiled Agentforce Vibes. Since then, we’ve seen a 22x surge in monthly usage and 100 million lines of code accepted. To continue supporting this agentic development shift, we are introducing a new level of extensibility and flexibility.

Agentforce Vibes empowers teams to innovate at scale through a Unified Catalog for enterprise reuse — featuring 30+ Skills, 60+, and real-time React UI previews that visualize changes instantly.

In addition,  Agentforce Vibes also transforms VS Code into an intent-driven IDE powered by the native integration of the Anthropic Agent SDK and OpenAI Codex. Soon developers will be able to orchestrate “Multi-Agent Swarms” that coordinate specialized AI dev teams across models like Claude Sonnet and GPT-5 to build complex Salesforce applications in parallel.

This is the future of development. Bring enterprise vibe coding to your organization with Agentforce Vibes.

5. Scale Test enhancements

As a Salesforce Sandbox add-on, Scale Test helps you stress test your apps so that you can be confident that it can manage peak loads and unexpected traffic surges.

And now with Agentforce, you can centralize critical performance insights through specialized features that analyze your org performance and monitor your live scale tests. Dig deeper into performance, simply by asking Agentforce to get insights into organization metrics, performance data, and testing results. These new features help teams better understand the performance of their org.

But wait there’s more – we’ve also launched several new Scale Test capabilities:

  • Load generation: Scale sandbox environments to production-level capacity during scheduled load windows. By mirroring your live environment, you can be confident that performance testing yields realistic, high-fidelity results that accurately reflect how your system will behave under peak loads
  • Test script builder: Now in pilot, bridge the gap between complex UI flows and expert-level scale testing with AI-driven, low-code test setup. Developers can also be QA and performance engineers, eliminating bottlenecks and accelerating development.
  • Test Plan Creation: For select users, Test Plan Creation is now available production orgs. Identify test use cases based on production bottlenecks for proactive performance optimization.

6. On-core innovation

Developers are moving faster than ever. To support that speed and scale, we’re introducing new platform-native capabilities that remove friction and accelerate delivery.

Next-Gen DevOps Center

Modernizing your development lifecycle shouldn’t come with a maintenance tax. DevOps Center was designed to help admins and developers embrace modern DevOps best practices and track projects from start to finish.

We are now evolving that mission with Next-Gen DevOps Center. By transitioning to platform-native capabilities, we’ve eliminated the need for package installations and manual maintenance, allowing you to focus on innovation rather than upkeep. This evolution introduces a fully extensible UI and significantly increased performance to handle your most complex scales. And to top it off, AI agents can now fully interact with DevOps Center – allowing for a more autonomous development lifecycle.

Data Mask & Seed platform-native on-core experience (beta)

When you’re testing your agents and apps, you want realistic data – but not real data. That’s where Data Mask & Seed comes in. Populate your sandbox environments quickly with seeding templates  that best fit your use case, or generate synthetic test date. By masking the data in your sandboxes, you can ensure that the data remains accurate without compromising sensitive data.
And now, navigate your security tasks with ease using our new, user-centric interface. In the new masking experience, field value distributions are automatically preserved, making your testing more realistic but safer than ever. You will get straightforward, plain language masking job reports on your, enabling you to investigate errors quickly.
