The Agentforce 360 Platform helps IT teams innovate fast, deploy securely, and protect their data.

Didn't catch every release webinar or announcement? No problem. We’ve wrapped up the biggest 2025 platform news‌ — ‌including the Own integration, Agentforce Vibes, and a New Shield Experience‌ — ‌all in one place.

Key Takeaways

This summary was created with AI and reviewed by an editor.

2025 was a landmark year for the Agentforce 360 Platform (formerly “Salesforce Platform”). We kicked things off in March by strengthening the platform with the integration of Own, a leader in data protection. With this integration, we empowered our customers to safeguard mission-critical data more effectively than ever before. New products launched include:

  • Backup & Recover: Ensure business continuity by protecting data against loss and corruption with automated daily backups, proactive notifications of loss or corruption, and intuitive restoration.
  • Archive: Set automated policies for archiving or retaining data, including custom retention periods to help with ongoing compliance.
  • Data Mask & Seed: We enhanced Data Mask with new seeding capabilities from Own, enabling development teams to quickly generate secure, realistic test data in Sandboxes.

We also made major enhancements to Shield and Security Center:

  • Shield: Admins now have a centralized view of field history tracking‌ — ‌making it easier to audit data changes‌ — ‌and helping teams to simplify compliance and improve audit readiness. You can also see which fields are ready for encryption and encrypt only your most sensitive data so you can optimize for both security and performance.
  • Security Center: Admins can detect issues faster by introducing advanced risk identification and remediation. It’s now easier to enforce least-privileged access policies by viewing permissions for any user across any org.

But expanding our security portfolio was just the beginning. Let’s recap some of the other notable innovations from the past year or so.

Spring/Summer ’25

Event Log Objects

Early last year, we enhanced Event Monitoring with Event Log Objects. By storing log data as standard Salesforce objects, customers can now identify and analyze user behavior using familiar tools. With SOQL queries, you can even build custom Agentforce actions that summarize risky activity, allowing your agents to act immediately  — ‌whether that’s creating a security case or revoking permissions in real-time. Learn more.

DX Inspector

In the Summer ’25 release, we introduced DX Inspector, which automatically identifies any org as a sandbox and allows you to explore agent metadata and track changes in real-time. Admins can connect directly with DevOps Center to see which changes haven’t been committed to source control yet, with future updates planned to automate the movement of these changes into work items. Learn more.

Winter ’26 (and Dreamforce Announcements)

Agentforce Vibes

You’ve likely heard the buzz, but we can’t miss the opportunity to highlight it here: Agentforce Vibes is now GA. It boosts developer productivity and accelerates every stage of development‌ — ‌from ideation and planning to code generation, testing, and deployment. Unlike “traditional” vibe coding tools, Agentforce Vibes is purpose-built for Salesforce and runs on the Trust Layer, ensuring your agentic development comes with enterprise-grade security and governance. Learn more.

Agentforce in Security Center & Privacy Center

We’re moving toward an Agentic Enterprise, where humans and AI agents collaborate on all aspects of the business, including security and compliance. This means moving from tools that simply alert you to partners that assist you.

To help customers do just that, Agentforce is now available in two of our Trusted Services products:

  • Security Center: Agentforce monitors activity, detects anomalies, accelerates investigations, and guides remediation — helping security teams respond faster and build trust. Learn more.
  • Privacy Center: New agentic capabilities use pre-built compliance frameworks for laws like GDPR and CCPA, allowing users to quickly activate regulation-specific retention rules. Learn more.

DevOps Testing

Announced at last year’s TDX, Salesforce DevOps Testing is now generally available. It extends DevOps Center with a unified strategy for automated testing, bringing together Code Analyzer, Scale Test, and third-party partner tools into a single workflow. As your “single source of truth” for quality, it allows teams to enforce quality gates and catch bugs well before they reach expensive production environments. Learn more.

Detecting Sensitive Data at Scale

As your data volumes grow and regulations evolve, identifying and managing sensitive data at scale becomes a significant, ongoing challenge. Data Detect now includes pre-configured rules for 21 types of sensitive data (credit card number, social security number, AWS key, etc.). The latest updates allow for object and field-level scans, meaning you can prioritize specific areas like Leads or Accounts to optimize scan times and resource consumption. Learn more.

Database Encryption

A major update to Shield Platform Encryption, the new Database Encryption feature provides a powerful layer of security that is completely transparent to users, enabling essential operations like sorting, filtering, and SOQL queries to work seamlessly on encrypted data without restrictions. Learn more.

Sandbox Performance Enhancements

We’ve supercharged sandbox management for customers on Hyperforce. With Quick Clone and Quick Create, you can generate Full Sandboxes 2–3x faster, while Copy Progress enhancements provide real-time visibility into your status.

Spring ’26

New Shield Experience

Historically, Shield features have been accessible through a variety of places throughout Salesforce including Setup, the Metadata API, Individual Apps, and Analytics Studio. Now, Shield customers have one unified experience for Shield. The app includes a guided setup experience with progress indicators, ensuring you can implement security features faster and with more confidence.

Platform Encryption Enhancements

Further enhance your encryption capabilities and take full ownership of your data security strategy by directly uploading your own encryption key material with Bring Your Own Key (BYOK), now available in Data 360. Learn more.

Field Audit Trail Enhancements

With all of the data we generate today, maintaining a data audit trail can be complex and resource intensive. Field Audit Trail automates much of this process by giving you a forensic data-level audit trail with up to 10 years of history. In the Spring ’26 release, Field Audit Trail will now be able to track up to 200 fields per object instead of the previous 60 fields. This increase allows users to cover a broader scope of field history tracking on critical objects. Learn more.

DX MCP Server

With this release, we’re launching with over 60 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. MCP acts as a universal “USB-C” port for AI, enabling agents to securely access files, databases, and APIs without custom, fragmented integration. These new MCP tools allows agents to handle the technical heavy lifting‌ — ‌from SOQL queries to scratch org creation‌ — ‌while you stay in the creative flow.

Beyond native capabilities, the DX MCP Server supports third-party integrations, allowing Agentforce to connect with external MCP servers and services like GitHub. Whether you’re leveraging external data sources or following a heavily governed team path, every connection remains native to the Salesforce Trust boundary.

Scale Test for GovCloud

Scale Test now enables GovCloud Civilian customers to validate their implementations at scale ahead of critical go-lives, migrations, and transformation projects. Government agencies can now move beyond manual, limited testing processes to gain true scale confidence with 24 hours of production-like testing on upgraded sandbox infrastructure.

Privacy Center Enhancements

Data Subject Request Manager enables instant discovery, deletion, and access of every record held on an individual, including Right To Be Forgotten (RTBF) requests, with a single search across CRM and Data 360. RTBF for Data 360 now automates data deletion requests directly in Privacy Center, eliminating manual processes and ensuring faster compliance with privacy regulations.

What’s Next?

The momentum isn’t slowing down. As we look toward the entirety of 2026, our focus remains on making the Agentic Enterprise a reality for every customer—transforming complex workflows into seamless, autonomous successes.

We’ll be sharing even more enhancements to Agentforce Vibes and our suite of agentic developer tools at this year’s TDX. Whether you’re looking to further enhance your security posture or make development more efficient, the Agentforce 360 Platform can help.
