Outside my tech career, I’ve been a journalist, a writing teacher, a gas station attendant, a waitress, and a farm worker. I believe working to understand experiences outside your own is critical to building good products.

My design work focuses on making sure regular people can understand complex systems and building healthy team cultures.

You’ll find me working on a home renovation project, tending my garden, mending a beloved garment, or planning for a dinner party.
