Retail Cloud POS is a cloud native, mobile first Point-of-Sale system that brings Salesforce into the store. As the in-store component of Salesforce's unified commerce solution, it is a complete in-store retail solution for transactions, clienteling, endless aisle, inventory management and omni-channel operations - all on one app.
It's crucial for retailers to provide a unified shopping experience, but having three distinct technology stacks - one for in-store, one for online and one for order management - makes this a difficult task. Salesforce provides retailers with a pre-built integrated solution that unified customer, order and inventory data across channels and stores. Retail Cloud POS enables store associates to engage shoppers and complete transactions from anywhere in the store via phone, tablet or terminal. In addition to modern POS, the store solutions, including Clienteling, Endless Aisle, Store Fulfilment, and Store Operations Capabilities, empowering store associates to personalise the shopping experience.
Retail Cloud POS creates a more personalised, seamless in-store experience that supports higher conversion, faster transactions, and easier associate training. Today's shoppers, especially Gen Z, expect little to no wait times, easy access to their online loyalty accounts, quick returns and fast fulfilment options when they visit a store. Retail Cloud POS delivers all of this, plus advanced features that make every interaction feel tailored, keeping customers coming back.
The best POS system fits your store's needs today and can grow with you tomorrow. Look for a solution that's easy for associates to use, easily connects in‑store to online, manages inventory in real time, supports all types of returns, supports flexible fulfilment like BOPIS and BORIS, and integrates with loyalty, payments, and other key systems. Retail Cloud POS does all this with built‑in AI and on an API-first platform, so you can deliver faster, more personalised service while keeping operations simple.
In September 2024, Salesforce acquired PredictSpring, a modern retail point of sale (POS) software vendor built natively in the cloud. PredictSpring was previously an existing Salesforce ecosystem partner with several strategic retail customers and is already integrated with Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Loyalty Management.
PredictSpring is the legacy name for Salesforce Retail Cloud and is the same product fundamentally with new enhancements since that acquisition.
