Salesforce and OpenAI are bringing frontier intelligence into the tools enterprise teams use every day, helping them tackle harder problems and take on more complex work.
Building on years of collaboration, Salesforce and OpenAI’s deep partnership has helped thousands of companies bring state-of-the-art intelligence to their most critical business needs, like reinventing sales and automating service.
Intelligence connected to the business
In customer service, OpenAI models in Agentforce can help teams answer questions using company knowledge and relevant customer data. An agent can respond with an understanding of the customer’s account and connect them with a human representative when more help is needed, helping service teams focus on issues that require their attention.
That need to reach customers with the right support extends to sales. Uber for Business built an Agentforce onboarding agent in six weeks to follow up with the tens of thousands of companies that start signing up each month but don’t finish. It supports 2,000 leads a month and brings in a human representative for complex questions. Since launching this motion, Uber for Business has driven a 30% increase in incremental revenue compared to their prior manual onboarding process.
Getting work done in ChatGPT Work and Codex
Employees can also use Salesforce directly in OpenAI’s products to prepare for customer conversations and decide what to do next. Hundreds of organizations use Agentforce Sales in ChatGPT Work, including Fortune 500 companies and West Monroe. The AI-native consulting firm has rolled out ChatGPT Enterprise and Work/Codex across its entire workforce. Its sellers work with Salesforce records to prepare account briefs and identify deals that need attention, then draft follow-ups and CRM updates. They can review the work while existing Salesforce permissions govern access to the records. West Monroe now uses Salesforce and ChatGPT to automate weekly reporting for top accounts, saving one hour per week across 252 accounts—or 13,104 hours annually.
The same approach extends to business analysis. With the new Tableau plugin, teams can use ChatGPT and Codex to explore business questions using their organization’s governed data and definitions. They can then build and check workbooks in Codex before publishing them to Tableau, moving from a question to an analysis they can share and use.

Salesforce’s Headless Toolkit is designed to extend these connections to developers through MCP and APIs while preserving enterprise identity, permissions, and governance. This supports our AIforce vision to make Salesforce available wherever people and AI work, across AI, agents, applications, and surfaces, even using new modalities like voice.
