Sarah Morton played Division I basketball at the University of Washington and then professionally in Germany. The mindset she developed on the basketball court has shaped her career in tech: resilience, ownership, and the willingness to fail and recover fast. Today, she brings that same mindset to building AI agents at Engine, a modern travel and spend management platform.
When Sarah joined Engine, she quickly realized the team was serious about building with Agentforce. That gave her the opportunity to learn by doing, experimenting with real use cases and helping shape how AI agents could support both customers and employees.
Sarah didn't wait until she had all the answers. She learned, failed fast, and iterated - the same way she approached every season on the court. She started with one agent and gradually built a full suite, each with its own purpose, name, and personality.
Agentblazer Status on Trailhead reinforced what she was already learning in production. The content closely mirrored what she had built at Engine, and she could work through it at her own pace.
Today, the Agentforce agents Sarah helped build support both customers and employees across Engine. They span support, IT, client services and sales - including Eva, a new agent named Vee, and agentic capabilities built right into Slack via Slackbot .
One moment in particular showed Sarah just how powerful those agents could become. A customer started chatting with the Eva agent in Spanish, and without any additional configuration, Eva responded fluently. Building multiple agents taught Sarah an important lesson: simpler really is better. Her first agent had 35 topics. After reducing that to eight, response times improved dramatically and hallucinations dropped.
Your use case does not have to be fancy. It does not have to be big and shiny. It just needs to provide value. And then once you have that, you can scale and you can iterate a lot faster.

For Sarah, one of the most rewarding parts of her journey has been helping others feel more confident taking their first steps with Agentforce. She remembers what it was like to be new to Salesforce and wants to make that path a little less daunting for the next builder.
