9/15/16 Update: Big news—Salesforce has closed its acquisition of HeyWire!
Today, I’m excited to share the news that Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire HeyWire. The team and I are thrilled to join Salesforce once the transaction closes and to ushering in new levels of customer engagement through conversational messaging within the Salesforce Service Cloud.
This is an exciting time for the customer service industry. We’re in the midst of the largest disruption in the space since the creation of the 1-800 number, as we witness mobile messaging emerge as the new and preferred platform for service and support communication; transforming customer experience and improving business productivity at the same time!
Almost 6 years ago, we launched as the world’s first mobile messaging cloud provider—so it’s only fitting that we join Salesforce, the company that pioneered the shift to enterprise cloud computing. As a member of the Salesforce ecosystem, we’ve witnessed first-hand Salesforce’s commitment to disrupting markets, we’ve seen the impact conversational messaging is making on our customers’ businesses and we’re thrilled with the opportunity to deliver innovative solutions in enterprise mobile messaging to Salesforce customers worldwide.
Looking ahead, HeyWire will bring this new communications channel to the Salesforce Service Cloud with fully integrated mobile messaging capabilities that enable companies to connect with their customers in entirely new ways.
