The community has been a constant source of inspiration and ingenuity. It’s helped me understand the wide breadth of the nonprofit ecosphere and the many wonderful people who help develop the work we do. It’s also the reason I’ve focused my career on Salesforce.

Participating in the [Sprint] event was transformative. It is where I found my voice, my purpose, and a community of like-minded individuals. It is not just an event, it is where I discovered the power of connection and possibility. The time I invested in these two days was definitely worth it.

Trailblazers are truly the heart and soul of Salesforce. Everyone who wants to innovate and deliver success with Salesforce can be a Trailblazer. Together, Trailblazers have built and continue to power the thriving Salesforce ecosystem. They’ve built successful careers, communities, and companies with Salesforce. But, they’re not only blazing their own trail, they’re bringing others along with them. And specifically, our Nonprofit Trailblazers are our community of nonprofits using Salesforce who are connecting and learning from each other every day.

The Commons program provides a platform for our community to address technology challenges in the Nonprofit and Education sectors through open source Salesforce innovation, but it’s so much more than that. Through Community Sprint events (like a hack-a-thon) and other engagement spaces like Slack, our Nonprofit community defines challenges and builds nonprofit software solutions and other resources on the Salesforce platform to share with each other. For almost 20 years, Nonprofit Trailblazers just like you have contributed their Salesforce and professional skills, so that others can see more success with the power of Salesforce. Today, the Commons Community team continues that legacy, and drives impact through innovation events called Community Sprints, mentorship, and learning opportunities.

Sprints are Salesforce-hosted community innovation events (similar to a hack-a-thon) that are regularly hosted around the world to bring partners, customers, and employee volunteers together to identify, prioritize and build Nonprofit software solutions and resources for the Nonprofit CRM that create more impact for nonprofit & education organizations. Find an upcoming event near you.

You can join us at an upcoming Community Sprint event to volunteer your skills, engage on the Trailblazer Community, or even offer to teach hands-on-training classes at an upcoming learning event. For more information on how to give back, feel free to email sfdo-opensource@salesforce.com.
