In September 2024, Salesforce acquired PredictSpring, a modern retail point of sale (POS) software vendor built natively in the cloud. PredictSpring was previously an existing Salesforce ecosystem partner with several strategic retail customers and is already integrated with Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Loyalty Management.

PredictSpring is the legacy name for Salesforce Retail Cloud and is the same product fundamentally with new enhancements since that acquisition.
