Jena - Office Accessibility

Accessibility is fundamental to Salesforce culture. We make our spaces as inclusive as possible, but also know that some of our offices still have some restrictions and limitations.

We want to make sure that visitors, guests, and employees are aware of any constraints in our office spaces, as well as highlight some of the accessible provisions that can be expected when visiting us. That way, everyone is empowered to plan their visit and make their time with us easy and enjoyable.

Getting to and from the office

Yes, Jena’s public transportation system is accessible. While Jena doesn’t have a major airport, the nearest one is in Leipzig. Jena’s local transport network is well-developed, featuring trams (Straßenbahn) and city buses, with 18 routes covering 150 stops across 143 km. In the city center, public transport stops are no more than 300 meters apart. Both buses and trams run during the day and at night. If needed, public transportation employees are available to assist.

In the office

No, the building does not have a parent’s room.

Snacks and refreshments are available in small kitchens on both the 1st and 9th floors. These kitchens also have refrigerators for storing personal food.

A Vietnamese restaurant, “ME OI,” is located right next to the main entrance.

Customers and guests can work with their host to request disability-related accommodations prior to their visit.

Employees can submit a workplace accommodations ticket prior to their visit to put accommodations in place.

Requests should be submitted at least five days in advance to ensure our teams have ample time to put accommodations in place. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests but cannot guarantee a quick turnaround.

In case of a building evacuation, the evacuation zone for people with disabilities is the area right in front of the building’s elevators. The fire department will take care of evacuating anyone who cannot leave the building on their own. The Emergency Response team will report to the fire department accordingly.
