Steve McWhirter
Senior Vice President, Enterprise Sales, Asia Pacific

Steve McWhirter

Steve McWhirter is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales for salesforce.com in Asia Pacific.

He looks after the company’s focus on large organisations, such as Suncorp, Bajaj, St George Bank, Perpetual, American Express and Crocs, and is charged with growing this market across the entire region.

An industry veteran with 21 years of experience in the IT industry, Steve brings with him a strong understanding of the IT and business landscape across Asia Pacific. He is well-known in the industry for his teaming approach to business and his commitment to providing customers with great support, service and choice.

Steve has witnessed a sharp uplift in interest from larger organisations and strong momentum in cloud computing across the region. He cites economic and productivity benefits of cloud computing as main drivers for adoption among larger enterprise organizations.

Steve has been with salesforce.com since August 2008. Prior to that he was at HP, building its infrastructure software business, and before that turned RedHat into a $120m business in Asia Pacific.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Education with a major in Computer Science from Sydney University and a Diploma in Pure Mathematics from the University of New England.

 

Lee Thompson
Senior Vice President, Corporate Sales, Asia Pacific

Lee Thompson

Lee Thompson is Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Asia Pacific Region. He’s responsible for running salesforce.com’s business for small and mid-sized organisations.

Lee sees SMB’s as the early adopters of cloud computing. The vast majority of organisations across the region have 200 employees or less, and Lee is charged with helping these companies use cloud computing to fuel their business growth and lower IT costs. He’s helped thousands of SMBs across Asia Pacific save costs and drive business success by embracing the benefits of cloud computing.

Lee has been in the IT industry for more than 20 years. He spent more than 12 years at Oracle, building its commercial sales business in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his tenure at Oracle he has held senior managerial positions at Borland, Artsoft and Pilot Software and has worked in the UK, Sweden, Australia and Canada.
