The Salesforce.com Foundation is the leader in pioneering, evangelizing and implementing the 1/1/1 Model to improve the lives of people around the world. The 1/1/1Model harnesses the power of people and technology through 1% Time, 1% Equity, and 1% Product to nonprofit organizations globally.
The Foundation is pioneering a ‘social enterprise’ model for sustainability and expansion of their philanthropic work. This unique model consists of donating the first 10 licenses (Power of Ten Program) and steeply discounting additional licenses above this amount. The revenue from the sale of these licenses will go to fund the ongoing operations of the Foundation and expand their granting and social impact programs.
We are seeking sales and account management performers who are looking to focus their skills to drive effective use of technology for social benefit. The Nonprofit Account Executive is responsible for championing salesforce.com's offerings with nonprofit and education organizations. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing the success, adoption and growth of existing customers
Responsibilities:
- Development of a sales plan to effectively and efficiently cover the accounts within an assigned geography.
- Manage lead qualification and conversion from interested higher education accounts.
- Aggressively prospect and generate new contractual relationships with higher education accounts.
- Coaching and advising large strategic salesforce.com nonprofit and higher education customers, resulting in increased adoption, success and expansion.
- Travel as required to prospects, customers or marketing events (~30% travel).
Required Skills/Experience:
- Track record of success (3+ years) in CRM or related business application sales (higher education market experience a plus).
- Detailed knowledge of and, passion for, SaaS applications (experience with salesforce.com, Force.com and AppExchange offerings preferred).
- Strong technical background.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, team environment.
- Bachelors or University Degree is required
